Dr. Lal EL Ferium Syrup 300ml

Ferric Ammonium Citrate is one of the best-tolerated iron supplements. Folic acid and folate (the anion form) are forms of the water-soluble Vitamin B9. Folic acid is a vital nutrient in diet. Its primary action is on formation of red blood cells and also in the formation of chemicals essential for DNA manufacture.

Cyanocobalamin is a man-made form of vitamin B12 used to prevent and treat low blood levels of this vitamin. Most people get enough vitamin B12 from their diet. Vitamin B12 is important to maintain the health of your metabolism, blood cells, and nerves. Serious vitamin B12 deficiency may result in a low number of red blood cells (anemia), stomach/intestine problems, and permanent nerve damage. Cyanocobalamin is the most stable and widely used form of vitamin B12, and has hematopoietic activity apparently identical to that of the anti-anaemia factor in purified liver extract. Mechanism of Action - Ferric Ammonium Citrate contains between 16.5% and 18.5% of iron. It exerts haematinic action by being an essential constituent of haemoglobin. It is necessary for the oxidative process of living tissues. Ferric ammonium citrate is given by mouth as a source of iron for iron-deficiency anaemia. Vit. B12, or Cyanocobalamin, is a cofactor. Cofactors are the most important components required to maintain fundamental processes throughout the body. Basic nervous system functions such as neurotransmitter synthesis and healthy cell-to-cell communication would not be possible without the presence of necessary vitamin, mineral and amino acid cofactors.
