Shea Butter: Shea Butter is extracted from the kernels of the sheu tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) and is composed of triglycerides with oleic, stearic, linoleic, and palmitic fatty acids. It is frequently used in the cosmetic industry due to its high percentage of the unsaponifiable fraction (e.g., triterpenes, tocopherol, phenols, and sterols), which possesses potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It also has significant levels of vitamins A and E, which means it promotes strong antioxidant activity.
